Steward Health Care System in Boston has sold off a portfolio of 13 medical office buildings worth approximately $100 million in a leaseback agreement with Arizona-based Healthcare Trust of America, according to a Taunton Daily Gazette report.
Northwoods Medical Center in Taunton, Mass., and a Saint Anne's Hospital-affiliated medical building were included in the sale.
According to the report, proceeds from the leaseback are intended to raise capital for improvements in 10 hospitals Steward has purchased in the past two years.
