St. Joseph Medical Center in Towson, Md., has recommended a partner to its parent company, Catholic Health Initiatives in Englewood, Colo., according to a Baltimore Sun report.
St. Joseph officials declined to name the hospital board's choice but the three finalists were LifeBridge Health in Baltimore, which owns Sinai Hospital of Baltimore and Northwest Hospital in Randallstown, Md.; Ascension Health in St. Louis; and the University of Maryland Medical System in Baltimore.
According to the report, there is no timetable for Catholic Health to choose a partner, and the parent company is not obligated to follow St. Joseph's recommendation.
