Austin, Texas-based St. David's HealthCare, which is jointly owned by Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare and two nonrpofit foundations, has acquired The Austin Diagnostic Clinic, a physician group with nine locations.
ADC includes 154 physicians practicing in 21 medical specialties. ADC's main clinic is in St. David's North Austin (Texas) Medical Center.
"The Austin Diagnostic Clinic is comprised of exceptional physicians who are known for high quality, compassionate care and service," David Huffstutler, president and CEO of St. David's HealthCare, said. "This acquisition will provide a platform for St. David's HealthCare to expand access to primary and multispecialty care and will allow us to serve even more patients within the Central Texas community."
With the transaction completed, a newly created board governed by physicians from ADC and St. David's will oversee ADC's operations.
