The Federal Trade Commission received a preliminary injunction against the merger of St. Luke's Hospital in Maumee, Ohio, and Toledo, Ohio-based ProMedica, according to a Toledo Blade report.
Under the injunction, which FTC filed in January, St. Luke's Hospital and ProMedica cannot integrate clinical operations and federal regulators will decide if the transaction is anti-competitive. A hearing is scheduled to begin May 31.
