Charlotte, N.C.-based Carolinas HealthCare System has entered a management services agreement with Cone Health in Greensboro, N.C., which will become effective Oct. 1.
Under the agreement, Cone Health will remain independently owned and governed by its current board of trustees. The relationship Triad-area physicians have with Cone Health will not change, and patients will continue to be treated in Cone Health facilities.
According to the report, the relationship is expected to enhance clinical excellence and provide a wider range of cost-effective healthcare services through the sharing of best practices, access to healthcare management experts and clinical quality teams.
