Franklin, Tenn.-based Capella Healthcare has finalized its long-term lease and management agreement to acquire Muskogee (Okla.) Community Hospital, creating one comprehensive health system comprised of Muskogee Community Hospital and Muskogee (Okla.) Regional Medical Center.
Capella has operated Muskogee Regional Medical Center since 2007, when it entered into a 40-year long-term lease, according to the release. With its acquisition of Muskogee Community, Capella will create one health system by merging the strengths and capacity of both hospitals, according to the release. Over the next 30 to 60 days, the combined organization will enter a transition period, during which physicians and staff will work with a transition team to determine the smartest way to integrate care, according to the release.
