After finalizing the details of their partnership, Henry Medical Center in Stockbridge, Ga., will become a subsidiary of Atlanta-based Piedmont Healthcare, according to an Atlanta Business News report.
Piedmont will lease the county-owned hospital's facilities and take over daily operations. A new board will be formed as well, with Henry County community members and physicians comprising a majority of the governing entity, along with Piedmont executives.
Piedmont is expected to take over in January. The 215-bed HMC will be the fifth hospital added to the Piedmont system.
