St. Louis-based Ascension Health and Los Altos, Calif.-based Daughters of Charity Health System have signed a formal affiliation agreement, under which Daughters of Charity's six hospitals will operate under the largest Catholic health system in the country.
The systems announced plans to affiliate in March.
Though specific terms of the agreement are confidential, the news release said representatives from both organizations will form a joint advisory committee to "provide a platform for ongoing dialogue and strategic planning to enhance delivery of quality inpatient and outpatient care throughout California."
