Alaska hospital to merge with long-term care facility

Juneau, Alaska-based Bartlett Regional Hospital will assume operations of Juneau-based Wildflower Court, a nursing and rehabilitation facility.

Wildflower Court first approached Bartlett Regional about the possibility of a merger in November. Bartlett will transition Wildflower Court employees into its organization, according to a Dec. 8 Bartlett news release.

"WFC and Bartlett share a history of respect, partnership, and support," Bartlett CEO David Keith said. "Our visions align as we aim to provide leadership in healthcare that benefits the greater Southeast Alaska community. Merging our organizations will strengthen and expand the scope and quality of these services for our residents and patients in a truly sustainable manner."
