St. Luke's Episcopal Health System, a six-hospital system based in Houston, is reportedly shopping for a buyer, and three large health systems are in the running, according to a Houston Business Journal report.
The Methodist Hospital System, a five-hospital network also based in Houston, has been pegged as the frontrunner, according to the report, though system officials declined to comment on the matter.
Englewood, Colo.-based Catholic Health Initiatives and Houston-based Memorial Hermann Health System are the other two reported finalists.
St. Luke's officials did not comment on when any deal would occur.
