1. Albemarle Board Votes for Sentara to Operate Hospital
Albemarle Hospital in Elizabeth City, N.C., signed a letter of intent with Norfolk, Va.-based Sentara Healthcare.
2. Trinity Health in North Dakota Joins Mayo Clinic Network
Trinity Health, a nonprofit health system based in Minot, N.D., joined the Mayo Clinic Care Network.
3. Gundersen Health System Adds Boscobel Area Health Care
Gundersen Health System in La Crosse, Wis., and Boscobel (Wis.) Area Health Care signed an affiliation agreement.
4. State OKs Affiliation CON for Western Connecticut Health Network, Norwalk Hospital
The Connecticut Office of Health Care Access said the certificate of need application for Western Connecticut Health Network, based in Danbury, and Norwalk (Conn.) Hospital to affiliate is complete, and it will now move toward more formal reviews.
5. State Approves Backus Hospital, Hartford HealthCare Affiliation
The William W. Backus Hospital in Norwich, Conn., and Hartford (Conn.) HealthCare received state approval on a proposed affiliation.
6. Duke LifePoint, Wilson Medical Center Seek to Form Joint Venture
Wilson (N.C.) Medical Center signed a memorandum of understanding to form a joint venture with Brentwood, Tenn.-based Duke LifePoint Healthcare.
7. Huggins Hospital Seeks Organizational Partner
Huggins Hospital in Wolfeboro, N.H., is seeking an affiliation with another patient-centered healthcare institution.
8. Sleep Management Company Acquires Foundation Surgical Hospitals
Graymark Healthcare, a sleep management company based in Oklahoma City, has acquired a 100 percent interest in Foundation Surgical Hospital Affiliates and Foundation Surgery Affiliates, also based in Oklahoma City.
9. 4 New York Hospitals Look to Leave Stellaris Network
Four hospitals in New York's Westchester County have filed requests to leave the Armonk, N.Y.-based Stellaris Health Network.
10. University of New Mexico, LHP Strike Joint Venture on Rehoboth McKinley
The board of Rehoboth McKinley Christian Health Care Services in Gallup, N.M., has approved a joint venture in which the University of New Mexico, UNM Health Sciences Center in Albuquerque and LHP Hospital Group in Plano, Texas, will become its new owners.
