3. Unicoi Hospital Accepts Mountain States Offer for Third Time
The Unicoi County Memorial Hospital Board of Control in Erwin,Tenn., accepted a proposal from Johnson City, Tenn.-based Mountain States Health Alliance to acquire the public-owned hospital.
4. Downey Regional Collaborates With PIH Health to Manage Daily Operations
Regional Medical Center, based in Downey, Calif., entered into an agreement with Whittier, Calif.-based PIH Health to manage its day-to-day operations.
5. IASIS Healthcare Sells 3 Florida Hospitals to HCA
Nashville, Tenn.-based Hospital Corp. of America and Franklin, Tenn.-based IASIS Healthcare signed a definitive agreement, in which HCA will buy the three hospitals IASIS owns in Florida.
6. Gulf Coast Medical Center Partners With Northwest Florida Community Hospital
Gulf Coast Medical Center, based in Panama City, Fla., and Chipley, Fla.-based Northwest Florida Community Hospital signed a clinical affiliation agreement.
7. Court Rules Against Nonprofit in Portsmouth Hospital Ownership Battle
The Portsmouth, N.H.-based nonprofit Foundation for Seacoast Health lost its latest court battle against Nashville, Tenn.-based Hospital Corp. of America for ownership of Portsmouth Regional Hospital.

The Mount Sinai Medical Center and Continuum Health Partners signed a definitive agreement to merge, creating the largest private health system in New York City.
9. USC Closes Purchase of Verdugo Hills Hospital
The Keck Medical Center of USC in Los Angeles officially acquired Verdugo Hills Hospital.
10. University of Rochester Medical Center Acquires Closed Lakeside Health
