Hospital Authority trustees for Fort Oglethorpe, Ga.-based Hutcheson Medical Center voted to enter a partnership with Erlanger Health System in Chattanooga, Tenn., according to a Chattanooga Times Free Press report.
Erlanger's board of trustees is expected to also approve the partnership.
Through the agreement Erlanger would provide Hutcheson with $20 million to help financially stabilize the hospital. Hutcheson has been losing $1 million a month and laid off 75 employees on Monday.
