U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Kay Woods has approved the sale of Youngstown, Ohio-based Forum Health to Community Health Systems, according to a Business Journal Daily News report.
CHS offered $120 million for the three-hospital system last week, trumping its initially reported bid of $100 million. CHS beat our Ardent Health Services, which had previously bid $69.8 million for the health system.
The deal is awaiting approval from Ohio Attorney General Richard Cordray.
