Four healthcare organizations in Iowa have joined to create a new healthcare alliance — the University of Iowa Health Alliance — which will ultimately include more than 50 hospitals and more than 160 clinics.
The four organizations include University of Iowa Health Care in Iowa City, Mercy-Cedar Rapids, Genesis Health System in Davenport and Mercy Health Network in Des Moines. The members of the alliance will work together to advance high-quality healthcare, improve the health status of its communities and achieve efficiencies that will help reduce rising healthcare costs for patients.
