Spokane (Wash.) Cardiology and Heart Clinics Northwest, also in Spokane, will merge with Renton, Wash.-based Providence Health & Services to form Providence Spokane Heart Institute, according to a report by the Spokesman-Review.
As part of the agreement, Spokane Cardiology's 17 physicians, and Heart Clinics Northwest's more than 25 physicians will be employed by the Heart Institute.
The merger is intended to improve the quality and efficiency of heart care and create a state-of-the-art heart center to attract more patients from the region.
