There is no association between patient-centered medical home coordinated care processes and patient experience, according to a recent Health Services Research study.
The study examined the relationship between practices' reported use of PCMH processes and patients' perception of care. It used data from 393 physician practices and surveyed 1,304 patients receiving care in those practices.
After controlling for sample selection and practice and patient characteristics, researchers found that PCMH processes were not associated with patient experience among the surveyed population.
