The 71st U.S. Women's Open Championship will take place from July 4-10 in San Martin, Calif., and Stanford (Calif.) Health Care will serve as the medical services provider.
As such, the Stanford staff will provide first aid to athletes, officials, spectators and volunteers alike. The healthcare system will also set up a wellness pavilion, where individuals can rest in a lounge area with TVs, receive golf mobility screenings or participate in a putting competition.
2016 is the first time the competition will take place in California in the Golden State in more than 30 years.
