Physicians from The Family Physicians Group PC in Memphis, Tenn., have split their health system affiliations between Baptist Memorial Health Care Corp. and Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare, both based in Memphis, according to a Memphis Business Journal report.
Seven physicians and about 110 other employees from the physician practice have joined Baptist Medical Group, part of Baptist Memorial. The group's six other physicians, four nurse practitioners and about 35 employees affiliated with Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare, according to the report.
Both groups of providers will practice under new names: The physicians joining Methodist will see patients as Mid-South Family Medicine, while providers joining Baptist will be part of the newly named BMG Family Physicians Group Foundation.
