Fairfax, Va.-based Inova and Children's National Medical Center in Washington, D.C., have formed a joint venture to create Pediatric Specialists of Virginia, LLC, an outpatient pediatric specialty practice.
The joint venture will bring together the institutions' pediatric specialists to deliver specialty care to children in northern Virginia. The outpatient practice will offer pediatric gastroenterology, nephrology, genetics, hematology/oncology and orthopedics at three locations.
Inova and Children's National currently offer pediatric services in separate specialty care centers. The new joint venture will form an integrated model to maximize the few pediatric specialists in the area, according to the news release.
Pediatric Specialists of Virginia will begin to offer care in fall 2013.
