Beverly, Mass.-based Northeast Health System will affiliate with Burlington, Mass.-based Lahey Clinic Medical Center, according to a LCMC news release.
The NHS Board of Trustees unanimously voted to create the affiliation, although terms of the deal were not disclosed, according to the release. The plans must also go through standard regulatory review, and it could be months before they are finalized.
Under the new structure, a parent organization named the Lahey Health System will be created by NHS and Lahey Clinic Foundation and will govern both organizations, the release said. Howard Grant, JD, MD, will be the president and CEO of LHS, and a new board consisting of equal members of NHS and LCF will also be selected.
