Beverly, Mass.-based Northeast Health System is delaying its choice of a buyer until September, according to a Salem News report.
The system originally planned to name its new owner by the end of June but has extended the date to allow for more time to review and discuss merger offers by Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Lahey Clinic in Burlington, Mass., Boston-based Steward Health Care System and Nashville, Tenn.-based Vanguard Health Systems.
