Worchester, Mass.-based Cardiology Consultants of Central Massachusetts has join UMass Memorial Medical Group, the faculty practice group for UMass Memorial Health Care and the University of Massachusetts Medical School, according to a report by the Worchester Business Journal.
The six physicians at the practice will continue practicing at the group's current office, which will be renamed UMass Memorial Cardiology.
The move is one of many recent affiliations of cardiology practices with health systems following increasing regulations and decreasing reimbursement for the specialty.
