Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Ind., has announced with will partner with the Medical Center of Vincennes, a 12-physician practice specializing in primary care, effective Jan. 2011, according to a Good Samaritan news release.
As part of the deal, Good Samaritan will employ the physicians at the practice. Discussion between the two groups began 10 months ago.
Rob McLin, president and CEO of Good Samaritan Hospital calls the deal a "first step toward development of infrastructure necessary to create an accountable care organization," according to the release.
