San Francisco-based Dignity Health signed a definitive agreement to acquire U.S. HealthWorks, the largest operator of occupational medicine and urgent care centers in the country.
Valencia, Calif.-based U.S. HealthWorks is a portfolio company of Altaris Capital Partners and Three Arch Partners. It includes 172 clinics in 15 states and more than 800 medical providers.
Dignity acquired the organization as part of its vision "to become a national, integrated delivery network by 2020," according to the release.
"We are excited to bring U.S. HealthWorks into the Dignity Health family," Lloyd H. Dean, president and CEO of Dignity Health, said in the release. "This allows us to expand our health care ministry into 16 states, and it strengthens our ability to deliver the integrated, quality care that people expect and deserve."
Terms of the deal, which is expected to be finalized in August, were not disclosed.
