Orlando (Fla.) Health Physician Partners, a network of about 532 private physicians with a formal affiliation with Orlando (Fla.) Health, has launched a collaborative accountable care initiative with Cigna.
The program strives expand patient access to care and achieve the triple aim of improved quality and patient satisfaction and lower care cost. The program will cover about 24,000 patients.
As part of the program, Cigna will pay physicians for the care they provide to patients, and physicians will be rewarded for meeting unspecified targets for improving quality and lowering costs.
This is Cigna's 52nd collaborative accountable care initiative.
