Aurora Health Care, Anthem Blue Cross Ink New Health Plan

Milwaukee-based Aurora Health Care and Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Wisconsin are linking up for a new health plan designed to improve employees' healthcare experiences while offering a price guarantee to employers, according to a Milwaukee Journal Sentinel report.

Under the Blue Cross health plan, which will be available Nov. 1, the system "basically is guaranteeing" it can provide care for less cost if people remain within its network. Anthem is offering incentives and penalties tied to providers' ability to meet specific quality measures while providing care within a projected cost.

Aurora inked a similar deal with Aetna last month. These agreements make health plans from Aurora's Accountable Care Network available to employers buying insurance.
