SwedishAmerican Health System, based in Rockford, Ill., has announced the elimination of 49 employees and 76 vacant positions, according to a Rockford Register Star report.
The reductions are part of the system's overall budget cut of roughly $9.5 million. It will also outsource its durable medical equipment business, gift shops and valet parking.
