The Greenville (S.C.) Hospital System will pay at least $35 million over the next decade to help the University of South Carolina expand its Greenville medical school, according to a report by The State.
GHS' contribution, coupled with tuition from medical school students, should cover the cost of the medical program, which is expected to grow to 400 students over the next decade.
USC board trustees and the hospital system are scheduled to vote on the proposed plan today.
