New York's University of Rochester Medical Center Receives $20M for Planned Children's Hospital

University of Rochester (N.Y.) Medical Center received a $20 million donation that will go toward building its own children's hospital, according to a Democrat and Chronicle news report.

The gift came from local businessman and philanthropist Tom Golisano, after whom the new children's hospital will be named. The children's hospital project is expected to cost $134 million with 56 private rooms and a 60-bed neonatal intensive care unit.
