Cortez, Colo.-based Southwest Health System fired interim CFO Sam Radke after two months on the job, according to The Journal.
The health system brought in Community Hospital Consulting, the consulting arm of Plano, Texas-based Community Hospital Corp., to analyze the health system's fiscal issues last year. CHC has made several staff changes since coming on board, including laying off roughly 40 people in August, the report states.
Southwest Health System CEO Tony Sudduth, part of the CHC team, confirmed Mr. Radke's departure last week. He told The Journal the search to find a permanent CFO has been ongoing.
"We are committed to this recovery, and while the process is difficult and challenging, we believe this hospital is viable," he said.
Mr. Radke replaced Angela Kobel, who was terminated in April 2017, shortly after two other executives and the CEO were ousted.
In addition to Mr. Radke's departure, a Southwest Health System board member announced plans to resign in December, the report states.
