Michele Finney is CEO of Phoenix-based Abrazo Health System, the second largest healthcare delivery system in Arizona. Abrazo is a division of Tenet Healthcare and includes six acute-care hospitals, two emergency centers, two urgent care centers and a 13-office physician group.
Ms. Finney was promoted to Abrazo after serving 14 years as CEO of the 167-bed acute-care Los Alamitos (Calif.) Medical Center, another Tenet facility. Under her leadership, Los Alamitos Medical Center expanded to include urgent care centers, primary and specialty physician practices and a residency training program.
Ms. Finney spent her entire 36-year career with Tenet. The summer of her senior year of high school, she started at Tenet as a dietary worker in a hospital where her mother worked, according to Phoenix Business Journal. She earned her bachelor's and later earned an executive MBA from Pepperdine University in Malibu, Calif., while working full-time with Tenet.
