Residents of Tulare County, Calif., voted to recall a director of the hospital district board that oversees Tulare (Calif.) Regional Medical Center, according to a report from The Fresno Bee.

Opponents said he "failed public trust" when an $85 million project to build a four-level tower fell through and he voted to give board power to the Health Care Conglomerate Associates, according to the report. Dr. Kumar said the board signed over operations to Health Care Conglomerate Associates to turn around the hospital's finances, according to the report.
