Arlington Heights, Ill.-based Amita Health is planning to move its headquarters, along with 1,100 jobs, to Lisle, Ill., according to Crain's Chicago Business.
Amita Health is negotiating an agreement with Navistar, a truck and bus manufacturer, to lease 225,000-square-feet of its campus.
Under the tentative 10-year lease with Navistar, Amita employees, beginning in March, would move to Lisle from the Illinois suburbs of Arlington Heights, Bolingbrook, Hoffman Estates and Elk Grove Village.
Prior to officially leasing the property, Amita Health is asking Navistar to increase the surface parking lot on its campus by 176 spaces. A Lisle village board recently drafted a proposal to increase the parking spaces. That proposal is expected to pass at a Sept. 11 board meeting, according to the report.
It is not clear if moving the headquarters is related to Amita Health's letter of intent to acquire Chicago-based Presence Health.
