7 Hospitals, Health Systems That Recently Changed Names

The following organizations announced changes to their name, logo or brand within the past month.

1. Lahey Clinic Tacks "Hospital and Medical Center" to Name

Burlington, Mass.-based Lahey Clinic is undergoing a name change, becoming Lahey Hospital & Medical Center as part of a new branding campaign.

2. Lodi Memorial Hospital Changes Name to Lodi Health
Lodi (Calif.) Memorial Hospital has changed its name to Lodi Health after more than 60 years.

3. Durham Regional Hospital in N.C. May Change Name to Reflect Duke Ties
Administrators and trustees at Durham (N.C.) Regional Hospital are proposing a name change, in which "Duke" would replace "Durham." Duke University Health System has managed Durham Regional, which is a county-owned hospital, since 1998.

4. WellStar Health Rebrands Kennestone Hospital Campus in Georgia
Marietta, Ga.-based WellStar Health System is rebranding its WellStar Kennestone Hospital campus to better reflect its array of services and unite them under one umbrella. The campus will be renamed WellStar Kennestone Regional Medical Center.

5. Saint John's Health in Indiana Changes Name to St. Vincent Anderson
Saint John's Health System in Anderson, Ind., changed its name to St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital.

6. Greenville Hospital System in South Carolina Changes Name
Effective March 18, 2013, Greenville (S.C.) Hospital System University Medical Center will become Greenville Health System.

7. University Hospital in Cincinnati Changes Name
University Hospital changed its name to University of Cincinnati Medical Center to better reflect its affiliation with the academic institution.
