St. Vincent's Health System in Alabama Breaks Ground on Cancer Center

Birmingham, Ala.-based St. Vincent's Health System has broken ground on a new cancer center, according to a CBS 42 report.

St. Vincent's will construct a 70,000-square-foot, freestanding professional office building to house the cancer center, which will replace the health system's current Bruno Cancer Center. The new facility will feature new radiation therapy technology.

Health system officials plan to open the center in 2014.
