St. Vincent Healthcare in Billings, Mont., in collaboration with West Park Hospital in Cody, Wyo., has announced the two organizations will expand and upgrade Big Horn Basin Regional Cancer Center in Cody.
St. Vincent and West Park Hospital partnered to create the Big Horn Basin Regional Cancer Center in January 2012.
The upgrades were made possible through a $5.2 million grant from The Leona M. and Harry B. Helmsley Charitable Trust.
The grant will be used to purchase the new Elekta linear accelerator and the building adaptations needed to allow its placement. New furnishings, electrical updates and HVAC installation are also expected to be completed.
