Shands at the University of Florida Opens Chest Pain ER

Shands at the University of Florida in Gainesville has opened a new chest pain emergency room, according to a hospital news release.

The chest pain ER includes eight beds for patients with low to moderate chest pain or other symptoms of a heart condition. A team of emergency medicine specialists and cardiologists will use a patient-centered approach. They aim to evaluate patients within 10 minutes of their arrival.
