Ohio Hospitals, Universities, March of Dimes Establish Research Program to Reduce Premature Births

The March of Dimes has announced a partnership with four hospitals and three universities in Ohio for a collaborative research program to identify causes of and prevent premature births.

The March of Dimes Prematurity Research Center-Ohio Collaborative "will leverage the expertise of leading scientists here in Ohio to discover breakthroughs in our understanding of premature birth," said Jennifer L. Howse, MD, president of the March of Dimes in the news release.

Participating hospitals and universities include: University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, University Hospitals MacDonald Women's Hospital and Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital in Cleveland and MetroHealth System in Cleveland.
