Dallas-based Baylor Health Care System and Texas Oncology will break ground today on north Texas's first facility offering proton radiation therapy, according to a Star-Telegram report.
The Texas Center for Proton Therapy, a 63,000-square-foot facility, will feature three treatment rooms, imaging services and labs, according to the report.
There are currently 11 such facilities in the United States and 37 worldwide, according to the report.
