The MD Anderson Children's Cancer Hospital in Houston has announced the opening of a new pediatric floor that combines inpatient and outpatient services with patient-friendly amenities.
The 25,664 square-foot space features 35 private inpatient rooms, nine rooms for immediate and intensive care and an infusion area with four treatment chairs and 11 private beds.
Designed with input from patients and families, the floor also features a dedicated pediatric pharmacy, play areas, a teen room, a laundry room and an expanded Ronald McDonald Family Room.
