Hospital of Central Connecticut to Break Ground on $40M Cancer Center

The Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain announced it will break ground on a $40 million cancer center in New Britain.

The 70,000-square-foot facility will consolidate cancer outpatient services in one location and allow for future expansion of cancer care, according to the release. The center will provide diagnostic services, infusion therapy, radiation therapy, clinical research, genetic counseling and testing. The center will also house the George Bray Cancer Center, the American Savings Foundation Radiation Therapy Treatment Center and physician offices.

The Tomasso Group, which is building the cancer center, will build and own a medical office building adjacent to the cancer center atrium.
