Detroit Medical Center announced the opening of its $43 million Children's Hospital of Michigan Specialty Center-Detroit.
The 106,500-square-foot facility includes 14 medical subspecialties and associated clinics and services, including infusion, dialysis and rehabilitation. The center also offers a lab, X-ray, ultrasound and a retail pharmacy. High-volume specialty services, such as cancer treatment and cardiology, neurological and orthopedic services, will remain at the hospital.
The pediatric center is the first major expansion for the DMC campus in nearly 30 years, according to the release.
