Bay Area Hospital in Coos Bay, Ore., has completed the skeleton of its approximately $45-million new wing, which will house an intensive care unit and catheterization lab, according to a report by The World.
The 110,000-square-foot expansion, which is expected to open in December, will include private rooms and advanced cardiology technology. The hospital can currently perform echo cardiograms and heart ultrasounds; new equipment will enable them to perform invasive cardiology techniques.
The project is expected to create 40-50 jobs.
