Baptist Hospital East in Louisville, Ky., is planning a $10 million cancer center for outpatient treatment and education, according to a Courier-Journal report.
The hospital would renovate and expand a medical office building across from the main hospital to house the center. The facility would consolidate all cancer outpatient services, including chemotherapy, in one location. The building would also include an education/conference center and space for research and clinical trials, according to the report.
The hospital plans to start construction next spring and expects to complete the project by the end of 2014.
