Carbondale, Ill.-based Southern Illinois Healthcare and the American Cancer Society have partnered to raise awareness of colorectal health and increase the rate of colorectal cancer screenings, according to a Southern Illinoisan report.
The partnership provides free colorectal screenings to uninsured people aged 50 to 75 who are not experiencing any symptoms of colorectal cancer and have referrals made by medical facilities.
