Temple, Texas-based Scott & White Healthcare announced the ground breaking of a new $19.5 million cancer center on the Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center campus in Waco, Texas.
The Scott & White Cancer Center-Hillcrest will offer outpatient cancer treatments including radiation therapy, medical oncology and infusion chemotherapy. The approximately 34,400-square-foot facility will include a linear accelerator and treatment areas for radiation therapy; a CT simulator and other new technologies; 20 infusion therapy rooms; patient exam, consult and procedure rooms; and space for cancer care education and support programs.
The project is expected to be completed in roughly 12 to 18 months.
