Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic has ramped up its social media presence by offering Facebook and Twitter pages in Spanish, according to an American Medical News report.
Mayo Clinic en español, the Facebook page, and @ClinicaMayo, the health system's Twitter feed, were created to improve the health system's communication with Spanish-speaking patient and colleagues. The social media sites were also created to improve dissemination of health information to Spanish-speaking consumers.
