Shelby Nelson has been named to the permanent role of CEO for Platte County Memorial Hospital, a Banner Health facility in Wheatland, Wyo.
Jim Ferando, president of Banner Health's Western Region, announced Ms. Nelson's appointment based on the results delivered and stakeholder feedback from her three-month interim assignment at PCMH.
Ms. Nelson previously served as an associate administrator at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital and Denali Center in Fairbanks, Alaska. She first joined Banner Health in the early 1980s as a ward clerk at McKee Medical Center in Loveland, Colo.
