Ryan Nagy, MD, president of Indianapolis-based Indiana University Health's metro region and interim president of Indianapolis-based Riley Children's Health, has shared plans to exit his role to become president, system chief operating officer and member of the board of trustees at Boston Children's Hospital.
Dr. Nagy, who has been with IU Health for 13 years, will work with Michele Saysana, MD, who will serve as interim president for IU Health's metro region until a permanent replacement is found, according to a Jan. 6 news release shared with Becker's.
"While we are saddened by his leaving, we are also incredibly proud and excited for the new opportunities that lie ahead for him," the release said regarding Dr. Nagy's departure.
David Ingram, MD, will take over interim responsibility for Dr. Saysana's duties as senior vice president of academic medicine and executive associate dean for clinical affairs at IU School of Medicine. Dr. Saysana previously served as chief medical officer for IU Health Methodist and University hospitals in Indianapolis, and she will remain involved in leadership for the IU Health Medical Group.
